MORAGA, Calif. – Saint Mary's Baseball lost game one of a three-game set against first-place LMU by a score 3-2 in 10 innings on Friday afternoon.
The expected pitchers' duel between SMC's Connor Linchey and LMU's Diego Barrera lived up to its billing, but a solo home run by the Lions in the top of the 10th would be the difference in the game.
The Lions used two singles up the middle and a stolen base to get out to a 1-0 in the top of the first, but the Gaels would answer in the bottom of the inning in similar fashion.
