MALIBU, Calif. – The Gaels finished the regular season on a high-note as Carlos Lomeli's dominance propelled them to a 4-0 shutout of the Pepperdine Waves that secured the series win.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The teams held one another scoreless until the top of the fourth inning as Saint Mary's put the first two runners on the bases with singles from junior Kevin Milam and junior Ryan Novis. With two outs, sophomore Gio Diaz singled to shortstop to load the bases for JC Santini who reached first on an error on the throw to first and two runs came across for SMC.
