LOS ANGELES – The Saint Mary's Baseball program earned a rare feat over the past weekend, becoming the only college program to place two players in the MLB All Star Game and two players in the MLB Future's Game in the same season.
Major League Baseball announced starting pitchers Corbin Burnes and Tony Gonsolin would be 2022 All Stars on Sunday, after former Gaels Ky Bush and Ken Waldichuk were named to the MLB Future's Game last Thursday.
Burnes is the reigning Cy Young Award winner in the National League and played for the Gaels from 2014-16.
