MORAGA, Calif. – The Gaels came out strong against the Cal Bears on Sunday afternoon, but couldn't overcome a seven-run third inning and eventually fell 9-3.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The leadoff batter for the Bears started with a soft line drive to left field, but tried to stretch it to a double and was tagged out at second. With two outs, Cal put a runner on second after a double up the left field line, but he was caught in a pickle and tagged out to end the top of the first inning.
