MORAGA, Calif. – The Gaels took an early lead on Sunday afternoon, but couldn't hold on as they dropped the series finale 8-5 against San Diego.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Toreros got their offense going early on Sunday as a leadoff single followed by a deep single to right center put San Diego up 1-0 in the top of the second.
- Freshman Bryce Willits walked to lead off the bottom of the second inning before the following two batters flied out. Sophomore JC Santini then lined it passed the third baseman to put runners on first and second with two outs.
