PORTLAND, Ore. – The Gaels had another late rally against the Pilots on Saturday night wth their second grand slam in as many days in an 8-5 loss at Portland.
They scored first and last but allowed the Pilots to take advantage of their mistakes in between, as the Gaels surrendered two unearned runs, hit two batters, and threw two wild pitches.
Portland never had a big, blow-it-open inning, but they would tack on one to runs at a time throughout the game. They tied the game in the second and took the lead in the fourth, going up 3-1.
