MORAGA, Calif. – The CSUN Matadors had two seven-run innings in a 19-2 win over the Gaels on Saturday afternoon.
Chris Santiago made his first collegiate start and threw three hitless innings, before the first three Matadors reached in the fourth inning to get them out to a 2-0 lead. Santiago would strike out the next batter, but it would come on a wild pitch that allowed the runner to reach and still nobody out.
Jackson Hulett didn't have the kind of outing he's been used to this season, as the reliable reliever would allow for more runs to score and record just one out before being removed.
