MORAGA, Calif. – Saint Mary's Athletics began construction on Br. Ronald Gallagher Stadium in early September, and will take the home ballpark of the Gaels' baseball program to a whole new level.
After breaking ground last week, the new stadium is expected to be ready for 2023 season, and will include permanent stadium seating, a press box, and an entrance into the complex. The naming of Br. Ronald Gallagher Stadium commemorates the former president of Saint Mary's from 2005-13 and his impact on the unprecedented success of Saint Mary's College Athletics.
Fans who were used to the former bleacher seating behind the home plate area will see major upgrades to the tune of 14 rows of built-in seating that amounts to 648 permanent stadium seats at the new complex.
