MORAGA, Calif. - It was a remarkably consistent week for Ali Bamberger that netted her the Bay Alarm Player of the Week Award. The sophomore scored 21 points with eight rebounds in San Diego on Thursday and 22 points with eight boards at home against Gonzaga on Saturday.
Bamberger led all scorers in both games and was critical to the Gaels success during the week. It was the Walnut Creek, Calif. native who got the lead back for Saint Mary's after the Toreros grabbed the lead in the third, and she gave the Gaels the lead for good with 6:27 to go in the game.
