The Sacramento Kings' restructuring of their community programs has cast some doubt on whether the team's popular public address announcer will return next season.
Scott Moak, the team's PA announcer since 2002, will no longer serve as vice president of community impact and executive director of the Sacramento Kings Foundation, positions he held since January 2014.
As word spread on social media of the Kings' restructuring, some questioned whether Moak had been removed from his announcing role, too. The Sacramento native is best known as the voice of the Kings' arenas, and the team said it would like him to continue in that role and is awaiting his decision.
