Luke Walton hasn’t had the best luck when it’s come to helicopter parents on his teams. In his second year with the Los Angeles Lakers, LaVar Ball — the outspoken father of the No. 2 pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, Lonzo Ball — told ESPN that no one on the team wanted to play for Walton. Walton finished out that season, but he and the Lakers mutually agreed to part ways the following season.
Now in Sacramento, Walton is dealing with another boisterous father of a former No. 2 overall pick: Marvin Bagley II.
