The first award of the season has come in for Tyrese Haliburton, and it seems like it won’t be the last.
The rookie guard, picked no. 12 overall in the 2020 NBA Draft by the Kings, has been named the Western Conference Rookie of the Month for all games through the end of January (seeing as December didn’t have enough days to qualify). Haliburton is sixth among all first-years with 10.7 points per game, ninth in rebounds, second in assists, and second in total 3-point makes.
Haliburton has been particularly impactful for the Kings in crunch time.
