The Sacramento Kings have waived Glenn Robinson III, according to a report from Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN on Wednesday, and confirmed by the team. Robinson signed a one-year, veteran’s minimum contract with the Kings in November. His deal was not fully guaranteed until Feb. 27, thus the timing of the decision.
Robinson was widely viewed as a sneaky-good pickup for the Kings when they signed him in free agency, especially with their lack of depth was at the small forward position, but the 27-year-old swingman was never able to carve out a role in Luke Walton’s rotation.
