Joe Johnson has committed to signing with the Houston Rockets once his contract buyout is complete with the Sacramento Kings, league sources told ESPN on Saturday.
The buyout is expected to be finalized later Saturday. Johnson will clear waivers on Monday afternoon and will be eligible to sign immediately.
The Kings acquired Johnson from the Utah Jazz as part of a three-team deal prior to the NBA trade deadline on Thursday.
The 36-year-old guard had played a minor role off the bench for the Jazz this season, averaging 7.
