For the first time in ages, the Sacramento Kings will enter a new NBA season with high expectations.
After finishing their 2018-19 campaign with a record of 39-43, and being one spot shy of making the postseason, the ultimate goal going into the upcoming season is to finally break their notorious 13-year playoff drought. Anything short of that would be considered a bust for the year.
With the Kings knowing that their season is playoffs or bust, Vlade Divac and company went to work this summer, especially during the league’s free-agency period.
In July, the Kings were able to sign five players to deals that will have them playing for the purple and white for the next couple of years.
