The Sacramento Kings are an interesting organization. They have the look and feel of an expansion team, one who just can’t seem to figure out how to build a winner, when in fact, they are basically the complete opposite as one of the oldest franchises in the league.
Founded in 1923 — over two decades before the launch of the NBA in 1946 — the Kings have bounced around from Rochester, to Cincinnati, to Kansas City, to, of course, Sacramento, all while trying to establish a winning culture.
Like with any team, no matter how many championships they’ve won or consecutive playoff misses, the Kings are a franchise littered with talented players, ranging from some of the all-time greats to ones who had incredible amounts of success in their time with the team.
