Gay Discusses Procedure

Ham's source clarified that the shock wave treatment wasn't a surgical procedure.
However, Gay said in an interview with Blake Ellington of SB Nation's Sactown Royalty that he had undergone surgery to repair his Achilles: "I actually had surgery. I had Achilles tendonitis, basically micro tears in my Achilles and for the past two seasons it's been bothering me so I've been trying to play through it and I got to a point where I needed to have it fixed so I got it fixed.
