The Sacramento Kings had a busy offseason with general manager Monte McNair making some changes to the roster he inherited from the previous regime. The Kings let Alex Len, Kent Bazemore and Harry Giles go in free agency, while signing Hassan Whiteside, Glenn Robinson III and Frank Kaminsky.
One of the big decisions McNair faced was what to do with restricted free agent Bogdan Bogdanovic. Sacramento ultimately decided not to match the four-year deal worth $72 million the Atlanta Hawks offered Bogi, letting him walk for nothing in return.
The Athletic’s Sam Amick wrote an interesting piece and says the Hawks actually offered the Kings a protected 2022 first-round pick for Bogdanovic.
