Robert "Bobby" Wanzer played all nine of his NBA seasons for the Royals and during his era was considered the best NBA player pound for pound and inch for inch and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1987.
“He was a player’s player and as good as anyone in that decade, including (Bob) Cousy,” said former Royals coach Les Harrison of the 1950s, according to the Democrat and Chronicle.
