Peja Stojakovic joins Vlade Divac in resigning from Kings

Sacramento Kings assistant general manager and franchise legend Peja Stojakovic will join his boss and former teammate in stepping down from his position with the team, according to a report from Shams Charania of The Athletic on Saturday. Divac resigned from his position as the Kings’ general manager on Friday.

The Kings hired Stojakovic as their director of player personnel and development in August of 2015. He also served as the general manager of the Reno Bighorns (now the Stockton Kings) during that time. In the summer of 2018, Stojakovic was promoted to assistant general manager, a role that allowed him to be more involved in the day-to-day operations of their G League affiliate.
