Fourteen-year-old Isaija Pantic has hopes and dreams like most boys his age. He also has an oncologist, a 10-centimeter scar on his head and a cool story to tell his friends when he gets back to Belgrade in a few days.
Isaija was diagnosed with brain cancer in June 2016. He went in for a routine eye exam and left with a frightening diagnosis after doctors found a massive tumor on his brain. He was only expected to live for 12 more months, but more than 2 1/2 years later, here he is — in Sacramento — laughing, smiling and developing a special bond with his favorite NBA team.
