While there's a lot of work to be done on the Kings roster this offseason, head coach George Karl is also in the midst of rebuilding his coaching staff. Karl had inherited Mike Malone/Tyrone Corbin's staff midway through last season with the only addition being offensive guru Vance Walberg. Walberg had been one of Karl's assistants in Denver. A couple weeks ago it was announced that Karl had snagged yet another of his former assistants in Philadelphia's Chad Iske.
Buried in the Adrian Wojnarowski's report of Iske's hiring was a mention of John Welch, another former Karl assistant (I'm sensing a pattern here) who Karl was looking at adding to the staff.
