Back on January 22nd, the Sacramento Kings played one of their worst games of the season when they lost to an equally bad Detroit Pistons team by nearly 20 points. Sacramento shot 28 percent from beyond the arc and made just 12 of their 23 free throw attempts, and only De’Aaron Fox scored more than 20 points on the night. It was the 15th loss in the last 18 games for the Kings up to that point.
Fortunately, that game sparked a lineup change that may have turned the Kings season around. That was the last game for Buddy Hield as a starter, and the Kings have won ten of the fifteen games that they’ve played since.
