Since taking over the Sacramento Kings in 2013, Vivek Ranadivé has made it a priority for the team to utilize it’s G-League franchise in Reno to the fullest extent. Now the Kings are looking to bring the team even closer, announcing today their intention to relocate to Stockton, CA.
The Bighorns have been in operation in Reno since 2008. In 2013, Ranadivé came to an agreement to run the team as a sole affiliate and in 2016 the Kings bought the team outright.
According to the Kings press release announcing the move, the Stockton City Council will vote to approve the team next Tuesday, April 17th.
