Chimezie Metu’s journey with the Sacramento Kings has finally reached a happy conclusion. On Wednesday, the Kings announced that they used their final roster spot to convert Metu’s two-way contract to a multi-year contract
“Chimezie has worked hard this season and done a terrific job to earn his place on the team,” Kings general manager Monte McNair said in the press release . “He provides toughness and energy to the group. We are happy to watch his career develop in a Kings uniform.”
Metu technically signed with the Kings during the free agency period in November, but he was waived before the regular season started in December.
