Following a double overtime loss at Sleep Train Arena on Monday night, the Kings were unable to sustain consistent strong play on Tuesday in Portland.
Rajon Rondo, Willie Cauley-Stein and DeMarcus Cousins helped keep the game close as the Trail Blazers stellar shooting kept the home team in front at halftime.
However, fatigue may have caught up with the Kings in the second half, as Portland was able to quickly extend its lead to 10 just three minutes into the third quarter. The game remained in the Blazers control from there on out, as the visiting Kings were not able to formulate a comeback run.
