After getting their first taste of gold at the 2014 FIBA World Cup last summer, DeMarcus Cousins and Rudy Gay are among 34 NBA players who will be in attendance for Team USA Basketball’s minicamp this week in Las Vegas.
Team USA Basketball head coach Mike Krzyzewski will be using this camp to assess prospective players to form a roster with for the 2016 Olympic games next summer in Rio de Janeiro. Of the 34 players, only 12 of them will make the cut for the final team that will travel and compete for Team USA’s sixth-consecutive gold medal (3 Olympic gold and 2 World Cup gold) and to add on to its current 63-game winning streak.
