Bryn Forbes came off the bench and scored 23 points to lead the San Antonio to a 113-98 victory over the Kings on Sunday, which is Spurs coach Gregg Popovich’s 69th birthday.
The Kings led 50-49 at halftime, but the Spurs pulled way by outscoring the Kings 30-19 in the third quarter.
Rookie De’Aaron Fox led the Kings (15-34) with a career-high 26 points, including going 6 for 6 on 3-pointers.
Vince Carter scored 21 points off the bench and George Hill had 19 points and four assists.
