A deal that would have sent Hill to Cleveland, with Channing Frye and Iman Shumpert (and possibly Derrick Rose) being the principle players involved, was close to done, league sources told The Bee.
Those sources spoke on the condition of anonymity because they are not authorized to speak on behalf of the teams.
