The Kings will open the 2016-17 campaign on Wednesday, October 26 visiting a division rival in the Phoenix Suns. On Thursday, October 27, Sactown will make its regular season debut at Golden 1 Center in downtown Sacramento versus the reigning Southwest Division champion San Antonio Spurs. The contest marks the first of 18 sets of back-to-backs for the Kings (tied for most in the NBA). According to ESPN, the team’s schedule is ranked as the sixth-toughest in the NBA, largely due to their back-to-back contests, of which only five sets end in Sacramento.
Of the Kings 41 home games, a total of 19 will be featured on weekends with eight Friday games, five on Saturdays and six on Sundays.
