The Sacramento Kings were destroyed by the Golden State Warriors, losing 120-101. The Kings started the game with great energy and team play, and held the lead for most of the first quarter. From that point forward, it was a systematic destruction by the defending champs.
The Kings were once again without DeMarcus Cousins, who is still recovering from a lower back injury. Without Cousins, Rudy Gay shouldered the bulk of the offensive load. To the chagrin of Kings fans, Rudy drove to the rim again and again, often while being guarded by Defensive Player of the Year candidate Draymond Green.
