Former Sacramento King Tyler Honeycutt was found dead Saturday morning after a 9-hour gun-related standoff with the Los Angeles Police Department in Sherman Oaks, California.
The LAPD responded to a call Friday night about a man with a gun outside of a residence and, upon arrival, the suspect shot at them, said LAPD spokesperson Tony Im. Im said the officers at the scene fired back.
The suspect then barricaded himself inside the residence, Im said. A SWAT crew was called to the incident and entered the residence, he said, where they found the suspect unresponsive.
