Brandon Gallow, a current member of the construction crew building the ESC, admits to having been surrounded by dysfunction early in his life.

“Reflecting on his childhood,” wrote Sactown Royalty’s Blake Ellington, “he recalls watching many of his friends’ parents do drugs and few of the adults around him doing work.” Though this was the environment he and his four siblings were raised in, these adult behaviors and influences never deterred him from working hard.

Gallow and his brother, both now having families to provide for, got involved with the Northern California Construction Training Program. Around this time, Gallow’s brother was paralyzed from the waist down after a man attempted to rob him.
