The Sacramento Kings announced this afternoon that forward Eric Moreland will be out indefinitely after breaking his left foot in practice today.
SACRAMENTO, CA - X-rays performed this afternoon at Kaiser Permanente in Sacramento revealed that Kings forward Eric Moreland will require surgery after sustaining a fracture of the fifth metatarsal in his left foot during practice today. He is out of action indefinitely.
A timetable for his procedure and recovery will be provided as updates become available.
How unfortunate. Eric Moreland missed most of last season with a torn labrum in his left shoulder, and after working hard in summer league and training camp just to make the Kings' final roster, he breaks his foot less than two months into the season.
