Nothing has ever come particularly easy to me. I’m not sure if this is attributable to circumstance or general incompetence or some combination of the two but I’ve historically struggled with functions that most normal people don’t while not necessarily feeling like I’ve been given the breaks plenty of other otherwise normal people have. Now that last comment is almost purely self-sympathy. That I’m 36 years old and taking driver’s education courses for the first time in my life next week is an incompetence owed only to myself. But there’s something about adversity and its relationship with its kissing second-cousin futility.
