In a contest with the Phoenix Suns on March 25, 2016 Kings All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins capitalized on an opportunity to show his support in the fight against Epilepsy.
“I have a close friend with a daughter who was diagnosed with Epilepsy and battled seizures constantly during the first two years of her life,” Cousins said in a press release via the Epilepsy Foundation of Northern California (EFNC), adding that this issue hits home for him as a result.
March 26, 2016 was “Purple Day” – a day in which people come together to raise awareness for and educate others about the seizure disorder – so it’s only fitting that the big man toted #TeamAria and ‘End Epilepsy’ inscriptions on his shoes during the squad’s game the night before.
