DeMarcus Cousins named Western Conference Player of the Week

What a difference a week makes. Last Monday, DeMarcus Cousins reportedly went off on his coach in the locker room and things appeared to be melting down in Sacramento. This Monday, the Kings are coming off a three-game win streak to end their homestand and Cousins has been named the NBA's Western Conference Player of the Week. Nicolas Batum won the award for the East.

Cousins averaged 32.5 points and 11.0 rebounds on his way to leading the Kings to a 3-1 record this week, as well as knocking down almost 50% (9 of 19) of his three-point attempts.
