Both with losing records for the month of January, the Cleveland Cavaliers (5-6) and the Sacramento Kings (3-8) were both poised for victory in what was a dandy at the Quicken Loans Arena. Sacramento would break its overtime losing streak (0-3) and finish off the Cavaliers in the extra period 116-112.
A Willie Cauley-Stein poster dunk would put the Kings within one at 102-103. Following the dunk, a missed Kyle Korver three, offensive rebound by Kevin Love and foul against the Kings would put Kyrie Irving at the line to potentially give Cleveland a three-point lead.
Irving went one of two from the line giving the Kings the possession.
