Five years ago, you'd be more likely to catch Donovan Mitchell on a baseball field than a basketball court.
Growing up, Mitchell's dream was to play college baseball, until a wrist injury sidelined him for an extended period. No more baseball meant no more basketball, either.
Following his time away from sports, the athletic guard decided to focus solely on the hardwood, transferring to Brewster Academy in New Hampshire for his final two high school seasons.
With Brewster, Donovan's talent shined - appearing in the Jordan Regional Classic and Derby Classic. During the Jordan event, Mitchell dropped 30 points while tallying nine steals, three rebounds and three assists.
