Buddy Hield only scored two points in the second half, but they came in the clutch and helped the Kings escape with an 84-83 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday at Staples Center.
Hield gave the Kings an 82-80 lead, turning a Lakers turnover into an easy score with 37 seconds to play.
Hield led the Kings (25-53) with 19 points. Bogdan Bogdanovic had 15 points, and De'Aaron Fox added 14 points and six assists.
Julius Randle led the Lakers (33-43) with 19 points. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope had 16 points.
