Kings guard Buddy Hield will participate in the Taco Bell Skills Challenge on Feb. 17 during All-Star Weekend.
Hield replaces Utah Jazz rookie guard Donovan Mitchell, who withdrew to replace Orlando Magic forward Aaron Gordon in the Slam Dunk contest.
New York Knicks forward Kristaps Porzingis won the challenge last year in New Orleans.
Hield, along with Kings rookie Bogdan Bogdanovic, is playing in the Rising Stars game Feb. 16. He is the Kings’ top 3-point shooter and ranks ninth in the NBA this season at 43.2 percent.
