Buddy Hield closed out his first year in the NBA on a high note. The Bahamian guard was the Western Conference’s Rookie of the Month in March and he carried that momentum into April.
The last five games of his campaign solidified him among the best rookies in the NBA. He established a new career-high, scoring 30 points against the Phoenix Suns to close out the inaugural season at Golden 1 Center.
Averaging 18.2 points over the five-game span, he was the second-highest scoring rookie in the League. At 43.8 percent from long distance, he did it with the help of efficient shooting from beyond the arc.
