The ping pong balls are in, and the Sacramento Kings will pick eighth in the 2014 NBA Draft. With just a 15% chance at a top three selection, the Kings instead will pick at number eight as a result of their 28-54 record from 2013-14, seventh worst in the league.
The Kings are no stranger to this process - they've had lottery picks in each of the past seven drafts, yielding such names as Tyreke Evans in 2009 (averaged nearly 17 ppg from 2009-13), and last year's pick from Kansas, Ben McLemore.
At number eight, there’s certainly no lack of talent for the Kings to choose from.
The 2014 NBA Draft will take place on Thursday, June 26.
