Hosting its third NCAA game of the tournament, the Knights took down UConn, 4-0.
Three games. Three wins. Bring on Virginia....or USC.
Under overcast skies at Yurcak Field, the women topped former Big East/AAC foe No. 18 UConn 4-0 in the third round of the NCAA Tournament. It is the first time in program history that the women have advanced this far in the tournament. The Knights built a 2-0 lead in the first half with goals by Madison Tiernan and Katelyn Walters. Tiernan scored her first goal of the season on a header in the 29th minute.
