In a heartbreaking loss, the Rutgers women's soccer team lost its semi-final round game of the women's College Cup game, dropping a1-0 match to No. 6 Penn State. The No. 9 Knights dropped their second match to the Lions this season, winning the regular season game back in mid-October.
Rutgers gave up the first goal in the 24th minute on a turnover deep in its own territory and went down 1-0 on a goal by Penn State's Frannie Crouse. In the 79th minute, Kaleigh Riehl put the game out of reach with her first goalof the season. Rutgers never got its offense in gear and was playing catch up all game.
