Rutgers' $1.25 million renovated weight room is on track for completion just in time for training camp, according to Scarlet Knights coach Chris Ash, who tweeted a look at the progress Friday night.

The project — privately financed from a generous donation from Ron and Joanna Garutti — was started following spring camp in late April. While it was initially scheduled to be ready by June 1, structural issues delayed the construction and forced the players to use a temporary weight room under the bleachers in the south end zone of High Point Solutions Stadium this summer.
