Emphasis on “believes” for the time being.
The Scarlet Knights’ wideouts boasted a strong collective spring practice, a promising sign after being a significant weak spot in 2017. They looked like a unit about to turn the corner.
But … spring practice and the regular season are two wildly different things, and none of the wideouts have proven much in the latter.
Until things are (or aren’t) confirmed when the games start to count, all Rutgers has to go on is optimistic projection.
