Rutgers capped summer camp season by laying the foundation for its long-term future.
Head coach Chris Ash and his staff held their second Rising Knights Day on Sunday, hosting over 800 campers. The free camp offered an inside look for players in grades 4-8 representing six different states, including New Jersey programs and teams from key recruiting areas such as Baltimore, New York and Philadelphia.
"It's to promote the game of football, and to promote the Rutgers brand," Ash told NJ Advance Media during a break from taking photos with campers under the goal post in the south end zone.
