PISCATAWAY -- The windows in Chris Ash's Hale Center office offer views to the Busch Campus, with his football team's practice fields in the foreground.
So when a construction crew started ripping up the turf, uprooting trees and clearing the area of light poles, stairs and other impediments around the Rutgers football practice fields last month, Ash had a bird's eye view of the progress.
"It's really cool,'' Ash said. "When they started, they got the machines in there and they started to tear stuff down, it was amazing how quick it went to get the grass out and the (light poles) out.
