PISCATAWAY -- The last major position battle in Rutgers football training camp went in favor of a newcomer.
Andrew Harte, a fifth-year senior who arrived from Minnesota as a grad transfer this summer, earned the right to boot field goals and extra points this fall, according to Scarlet Knights coach Chris Ash.
Ash said Tuesday during the Big Ten media teleconference that Harte fended off fifth-year senior David Bonagura and true freshman Justin Davidovicz.
